Meet our Pastor

Jerry Liebert is a native of Richmond, Indiana. He was saved in 1962 while in the USAF, and graduated in 1968 from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.  Later, furthering his education,  he graduated with honors from Atlantic Baptist Bible College, in nearby Chester, VA.

/files/Picture Gallery/pastorfinal_small_Resized_150x162.jpgA pastor for more than 40 years, Brother Liebert is an experienced teacher of the Word of God. In each service practical scripture lessons effectively apply eternal truths to the trials and circumstances of our daily experience.

 
Pastor Jerry has been married to his wife Ann for over 44 years. They have two children and six grandchildren.  He loves music--especially playing the harmonica, and singing tenor in the men's quartet.  On his days off, he has been known to enjoy the occasional fishing trip.
 
Personal growth in Christ is the goal of every member of the church, and Pastor Jerry works to help each individual achieve that goal.  One of his favorite verses is Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Christ". Our congregation is actively reaching out in ministry from Varina, Virgina, to the most remote regions of the world.
